Set up cash registers in your Siesta Extranet.

In General

Cash registers are used to monitor the cash flows in the accommodation facility. They enable easy recording of all money transactions during the reception desk shifts. Once the receptionist finishes their shift and hands it over to the next person, the shift cannot be changed in any way to prevent "cheating".

If you do not know how to set up and manage cash registers, do not hesitate to contact your technical advisor.

Cash register configuration

Initial setup is a complicated process, if you are interested in the cash register, we strongly recommend that you contact a technical adviser to set up your cash register. The possibilities of setting up the cash desk is really wide and cover the needs of all types of accommodation facilities.

The first necessary step to using the cash register is to create at least one cash register - by clicking the "Add cashier" button.

In the field "Name" it is important to fill in the box with the name of the cashier (it is appropriate to name it according to the name of the reception - eg "Upper reception"). It is very important to select which types of payments the cashier accepts using the "Add payment type" button.

In the "Payment type" field you will select the type of payment that the cash register will accept. It can be cash, credit card, credit card deposit or bank transfer. Multiple payment types can be added to each cash register, but it is preferable that each cash register accepts only one payment type. This will give you a better overview of the cash flow. You can then fill in the ID of the payment method in Vyfakturuj, with which the type of payment in the cash register will be paired.

If you have two or more receptions at which you receive cash, under the EET Act you should distinguish between the two receptions and send each one separately. This can be done through the cash registers - each reception desk has set up its own cash register, on Vyfakturuj.cz we set up two payment methods and then pair the payment method with the type of payment that the cash register accepts. In this case it is worth to name the cash registers from the name of the reception, as mentioned above. Then remember to save the entire process.

The configured cash registers are then displayed in the cash register list. By clicking on the selected checkout it simply takes you to its overview, where you can change the name, add and remove the type of payment, or open and close it. You can also delete the entire cash register.
